In the fall, IN THE WOODS... and SATURNUS, two Scandinavian bands that are united not only by atmosphere, but also by a careful approach to concerts, will go on a joint tour. And since both parties have new records, it's good that they found a common language for this event.
The Danish doom metal pillar SATURNUS not only doesn't perform too much, it doesn't even release too much. Last November we saw them in the Czech Republic after 7 years and they didn't even release a record for a whole decade. And here a month ago they broke with the new record "A Storm Within", which once again weaves pedaling hit passages into gentle melancholy. Hopefully the cooperation with Prophecy Prod. will definitely break the turbulence in the line-up, because the music of SATURNUS for doom metal fans represents a permanently shining beacon in the waters of despair surrounded by the mists of sadness, which their soaring melodies and absorbing atmosphere deservedly should be.
IN THE WOODS... come from the prolific Norwegian black metal scene and were formed in 1991 from members of the original lineup of Green Carnation. They continue their melancholic position musically, although between 2000 and 2014 there was a gaping hole in their lives. In the past, the mysterious entity, which pioneered the use of the term 'pagan' before its debut (1995), built its career on an experimental approach and diverse black songwriting, which from today's point of view could also be called the forerunner of the post-branch. With five albums and several EPs, the sixth album "Diversum" returns to the game, which is once again full of distinctive, progressive-tuned blackened doomy rock revealing epic scenery ending in the horizons in endless forests...
The guest on the tour will be THE FORESHADOWING from Rome, who have just released a new EP "Forsaken Songs" lasting over half an hour. Doom metal as if from a Gothic cathedral resounding with a gloomy melancholic psalm.
